A small species in the carp family which have been selectively bred by the Chinese for centuries. Extremely hardy fish that happily live and breed in UK ponds . Goldfish (orange), Shubunkin (blue, orange &black), Sarasa (red&black) and yellow ( lemon) varieties are best suited to ponds. The fancy highly selected fan tails , orandas etc are best suited to indoor aquaria.
